Product Overview

The EALITA Hydraulic Clamshell Grab is a heavy-duty forklift attachment engineered for high-efficiency self-loading, bulk material handling, and site cleanup operations across construction sites, demolition yards, mining operations, waste processing facilities, agricultural storage yards, and industrial bulk material handling environments. Rated to an 800 kg safe working load with a 0.5 m³ bucket capacity, this hydraulic clamshell grab enables standard 4–4.5 tonne Class 3A forklifts to perform bulk material loading and site cleanup operations that would otherwise require dedicated excavators, wheel loaders, or additional site machinery — freeing up heavy equipment for higher-value tasks and dramatically reducing the total number of machines required on site.

The opposing dual-shell clamshell mechanism is the defining operational advantage of this grab attachment. As the hydraulic system closes the two shells, they drive directly into the material pile from opposing sides simultaneously — generating a powerful, self-penetrating clamping action that forces the shells through loose, granular, and semi-compacted materials without requiring the forklift to push or maneuver into the pile. This self-penetrating grab action is significantly more efficient than single-jaw or bucket-style loading attachments, which require the machine to physically drive into the material to achieve penetration. The result is faster cycle times, lower fuel consumption per load cycle, and reduced mechanical stress on the host forklift during loading operations.

The self-loading capability of the clamshell grab fundamentally changes the operational economics of bulk material handling on mixed-use sites. Rather than requiring a dedicated excavator or wheel loader to load trucks, the forklift operator can use the clamshell grab to self-load the truck directly — eliminating the need for a second machine operator, reducing equipment hire costs, and allowing the excavator or loader to continue productive work elsewhere on site. In construction, demolition, and mining environments where machine utilization rates directly impact project profitability, this self-loading capability delivers measurable cost savings across every bulk material loading operation.

The hydraulic grab operates across a full opening range of 0 to 1,664 mm, providing the jaw spread required to handle a wide variety of bulk material types and pile configurations — from fine granular materials such as sand, gravel, and grain, to coarser demolition rubble, rock fragments, and compacted waste. The system operates at a working pressure of 16 MPa with a hydraulic flow requirement of 60 LPM, parameters compatible with the auxiliary hydraulic circuits of standard 4–4.5 tonne Class 3A counterbalance forklifts equipped with a third hydraulic valve circuit. The 6mm main plate construction provides the structural rigidity required to withstand the impact and abrasion loads generated during repeated penetration into hard and mixed-composition material piles.

The clamshell grab's ability to load from the very bottom of a material heap is a critical operational advantage in site cleanup and material recovery applications. Unlike bucket attachments that can only skim the surface of a pile, the opposing shell action allows the grab to reach down to ground level and collect the final layer of material cleanly — leaving a site clear without manual shoveling, secondary cleanup equipment, or residual material waste. This bottom-of-heap capability is particularly valuable in demolition cleanup, aggregate recovery, and waste processing operations where complete material recovery is required for site compliance, environmental management, or material value recovery.

Whether you are loading bulk aggregate onto trucks at a construction site, cleaning up demolition rubble at a demolition yard, handling grain or feed at an agricultural storage facility, processing mixed waste at a recycling center, or recovering bulk materials at a mining operation, the EALITA Hydraulic Clamshell Grab delivers the self-loading efficiency, hydraulic penetration power, and 0.5 m³ capacity your operation needs to handle every bulk material task faster, with fewer machines, and at lower cost — every grab, every load, every shift.
